Faye Schroth

Faye Schroth, age 81, Carl Junction, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at her residence.

Faye was born August 3, 1934 in Attica, Kansas.

She was a devoted wife; mother and grandmother that also worked as a cook for the Carl Junction School District for many years. Faye was a gifted seamstress, sewing and cross stitching many garments for family and friends alike. One of her favorite past times was watching her grandchildren play sports. She enjoyed all, especially basketball and baseball. One team that she was particularly fond of was the Kansas Jayhawks.

She married Lewis Richard Schroth on March 14, 1954 in Attica, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Richard Scott Schroth and Merle Gene Schroth; and one brother, Merle Lee Baker.

Survivors include a daughter, Londa Roy and her husband, Randy, Carl Junction; daughter in law, Glenda Schroth, Joplin; two sisters, Velma Chelsic and her husband, Don, Arkansas City, Kansas, Eloise Kloefkorn, Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Christopher Roy and his wife, Angie, Bella Vista, Arkansas, Chad Roy and his wife, Ashley, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mason Schroth, Lincoln, Nebraska, Ellen Grow and her husband, Steve, Omaha, Nebraska, Brandon Schroth and his fiance, Tasha, Jefferson City, Missouri; Kyra Hughes, Joplin; and six great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Jim Fitzmaurice will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at the chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
