Mrs. Jennie Lee Hart, 87, of Joplin, Missouri, departed this life on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a sudden illness.
Jennie entered this life on January 11, 1928, in Carthage, Missouri, the only child born to the late Jesse Lee and Vida (Alexander) Castor. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Carterville High School. On October 30, 1948, she was united in marriage to Billy Verl Hart and to this union two daughters were born. Jennie was a devoted homemaker throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Billy Hart on July 7, 1979. Jennie is survived by her two daughters, Vida Martinez and husband, Frank, of Joplin and Teresa Godek and husband, David, also of Joplin.
Graveside services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2015 at the Carterville Cemetery in Carterville, Missouri, with Bro. Johnny Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home.
