John Leroy McNary (Big) John, 78, Wyandotte, OK, gained his wings and went to be with the Lord August 11, 2018 at the Seneca House Nursing Home after a short illness.
John Leroy McNary was born August 26, 1930 in Racine, MO the son of James and Esther (Cory) McNary and they preceded him in death. John was also preceded in death by his daughter Melissa McNary, his stepfather, Jeff Malory, his sister Mary Ruth Williams, his mother-in-law and father in-law, Ethel and Burt Watson, brother-in-laws, Bobby Price, Kenneth Black and Harvey Karns and numerous aunts and uncles.
John worked at the former Vowell's Tire east of Wyandotte, OK. He formerly owned and operated Seneca Tire Shop for 15 years. He was employed part time by the former Hukill's Furniture Store in Seneca for 10 years. John never met a stranger!! John was loved by all who knew him! John had a big heart and did all he could to help anyone who was in need of assistance. John had a wonderful life with his family, ohhh the stories we can tell. John worked hard to provide a wonderful and happy life for his family.
John Leroy McNary married Lucy Price December 20, 1961 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include his sons Jimmy (Jim) McNary of the home and Walter Price, Clarksville, AR; his daughters, Kristi McNary, Springfield, Mo and Karen Price of Oklahoma City, OK; his sister, Marcella Gross, San Diego, CA; brothers, Charles McNary and wife Norma Alba, MO, Andy McNary in the state of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Gilley Karns, Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Lanzarotto and husband Richard, Oakland, TN and Eva Price of Altus, OK; brother-in-law Charlie Price and wife Ginney, Tonawanda, New York; his great grandchildren Leila Templeton, Lisa Templeton, Dwaine Kessler, Junior Kessler, Allaina Kessler, Caleb James and Ty James and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 pm, August 16, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm August 17, 2018 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca with Kevin Bass officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with grandsons, Kevin Davis, Andrew (AJ) Davis, Blaze Cochran, Earnie Stephens, William (Bill) Black and great-grandson Steven Stephens serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Kattie Davis, Ash Corchran, Kendra Kessler and Great-granddaughter, Brianna James
