Julie Arnold

Julie Ann Arnold, age 52, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at her home after a sudden illness.

Julie was born September 4, 1965 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and grew up in Oologah, Oklahoma, and Seneca, Missouri where she attended Seneca High School. She was most recently employed by Carl Junction School District during her 22-year long career as a school bus driver. Julie was devoted to all the children with whom she was entrusted; this was not just a job for her but something that brought her great joy. Julie attended Destiny Church. She was a loving, warm person who enjoyed life and was a positive influence on all those she encountered. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John R. Smith.

Survivors include her children; Jennifer Patton and husband Eric of Charleston, South Carolina, Jessica Comer and Paul Brown of Joplin, Blake Arnold and wife Elizabeth also of Joplin; her mother, Ella J. Smith of Joplin; sister, Cathy Fyock and husband Charles of Joplin, and their daughter, Katelyn Fyock, whom Julie had a special bond; her beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Comer, Myla Pyle, and Avery Arnold all of Joplin.

Memorial services will be Monday, August 20, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. at Destiny Church, 3411 N. Rangeline, with Pastor Gene Bebee officiating.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary
