Phyllis Doyle

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Phyllis M. Doyle, 75, Diamond, entered into rest on August 12, 2018 at her home, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. She remained strong and brave throughout her illness and her faith gave her great comfort.

Phyllis was born August 3, 1943 in Lebanon, Kansas, the daughter of Marvin and Edna (Paget) LaRue.

She moved to Diamond in 1976 and was a school bus driver for the Diamond Public school for 42 years. She was a kind and compassionate woman who always had a smile….her family was her world and she was fiercely protective of them. She loved spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids and her animals. She enjoyed showing her support for the Diamond Wildcats and had numerous family, close friends and kids she cared about. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing a vegetable garden to share with her family. She was an amazing lady who will be greatly missed, but memories of her will bring a smile to our faces. Phyllis was a member of the Diamond Methodist Church.

On August 26, 2961, Phyllis married Riley Francis Doyle, he preceded her in death on June 24, 2006. She is survived by three daughters,

Julie Frances Barnett and fiancé, Joseph Collier; Kathleen Marie Echols and Crystal Sue Noel and husband, Devin all of Diamond; six grandchildren, Heather, Stephanie, John, Kristin, Dalton and Neva; three great grandchildren, Justin, Taylor and Xander and one sister, Beverly LaRue of Kansas.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Faye Reeve and a brother, Larry Joe LaRue.

Phyllis has been taken for cremation and the family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.

Contributions in memory of Phyllis may be made to Diamond G.E.M. Fund, c/o Southwest Missouri Bank, any location or pay pal, diamondgemfund@gmail.com
