Joyce Sullivan

Joyce Kay (Blake) Sullivan, age 72 of Lamar, Missouri passed away at her home, surrounded by her family Saturday, August 19, 2018.

Joyce was born July 8, 1946 in Wellington, Kansas and was a 1964 graduate of Lamar High School. She was a member of CHIPS Church and had worked at Gilkey Chevrolet and as a service writer at John Deere, and worked in production control at O’Sullivan Industries, but her greatest accomplishment was as a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting crocheting, yardwork and working in her flower garden. On May 30, 2008 she married Ron Sullivan in Miami, Oklahoma.

Joyce leaves behind her husband Ron Sullivan; three children, Brian (Melanie) Brewer, Lamar, Missouri, Leslie (Jerry) Griffitt, Lamar, Missouri Doug (Cody) Brewer, Lockwood, Missouri; six grandchildren Jocelyn (Todd) Stremsterfer, Jessica (Kevin) Miller, Brandi (Kyle) Riley, Morgan Brewer, Zachary Brewer, Angelea Brewer; three great grandchildren Zoey and Callie Stremsterfer and Eli Riley; two stepchildren, Justin (Shantell) Sullivan, Spring, Texas and Julia (Deryck) Anderson, Palmer, Alaska; eight step grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Landyn, Bryce, Lyla, Justin, Allianna, and Brynlee; three brothers, Johnny (Sheryl) Blake, Wellington, Kansas, Tom Robinson, Carl Junction, Missouri, and Donnie (Celia) Robinson, Greensboro, Georgia; three sisters, Janice (Don) Grisham, Carthage, Missouri, Naomi Ketterman, Arkansas City, Kansas, and Debbie (Howell) Henderson, Webb City, Missouri.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Viola and Burlen Robinson, and a brother Ronnie Robinson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 24, 2018 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
