Stephen Wilkerson, age 75, of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 6, 1942 in Trafalgar, Indiana the son of Thomas Arnold and Lorene M. (Conway) Wilkerson. On August 15, 1962 in Needham, Indiana he was united in marriage to Linda Burdsall, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Stephen Todd Wilkerson and his wife Julie of Thayer, Kansas, Gregory Arnold Wilkerson and his wife Rachael of Longview, Missouri and Jeffrey John Wilkerson of Wheaton, Missouri; one daughter, Tamara Harrell and her husband Kim of Rocky Comfort, Missouri; one brother, Jack Wilkerson and his wife Mary of Speedway, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Natasha Byrd and her husband Dustin, Nicholas Nobharatana, Emily Nobharatana, Elijah Harrell, Bucky Harrell, Corrine Wilkerson and Marlee Wilkerson and one great grandchild, Ayden Byrd.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Stephen received his education in Franklin, Indiana and graduated from Franklin High School. He attended three years at Ball State in Muncie, Indiana. For several years he was employed as an electronics salesman at Avnet, which took him to Kansas City, Arizona and Wisconsin. In 1975 he was baptized in Raymore, Missouri. Eleven years ago he moved from Wisconsin to Wheaton, Missouri to make his home. He had served on the Wheaton City Council. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing, gardening, golfing and watching car racing.
Services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton.
