Wanda Irene Barratt, 78, Granby, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2018 following a long illness. She was born on August 10, 1940 in the Sweetwater Community, the daughter of Mark and Annie (Sheppard) Rentfro. She was a lifelong resident of the Granby area.
Wanda taught third grade and Learning Disabilities for over 40 years. She was a member of the Granby First Baptist Church. Wanda loved to go shopping, cooking, and being with her family.
Wanda and Clifford Barratt were married on July 25, 1959 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1986.
She is survived by a special friend, Larry Wheeler, Granby; two children, Sharon Barratt, Springfield, and Bruce Barratt and wife Denise, Asheville, NC; a brother, Wayne Rentfro, Houston, TX; three sisters, Lillian Hukill, Neosho, Gloria Pace, Kansas City, MO and Margaret Shellenberger, Goodman, MO; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
In addition to her husband, Wanda is preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends at a time of visitation on Wednesday, August 22 from 5-7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby, MO.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Granby Chapel with Rev. Ralph Walker officiating. Interment will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery following the service.
