Shirley Anne “Elliott” Pyle, 86, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at her home in Carthage. Shirley was born September 17, 1931 in Monterey, CA to Del and Merle “Bobo” Elliott. She attended Stephen College in Columbia, MO and lived most of her life in Carthage; she worked as a librarian at the Carthage Library and attended the Carthage Presbyterian Church. Shirley loved gardening, travel and her miniature schnauzers.
Shirley was united in marriage to Ben Pyle in 1952 in Carmel, CA; he survives.
Shirley is also survived by one son, Steve Pyle; six grandchildren, Chris, Carolyn, Brooke, Matthew, Evan and Keiffer; as well as 13 great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by one son, Bob Pyle, and one brother, Mike Elliott.
A visitation/memorial was held Friday, August 10, 2018 at Ulmer Funeral Home.
