Ralph Wayne Morris of Miami, OK passed from this life on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at his home. He was 81.
Ralph was born October 25, 1936 in Little Rock, AR. to Ed and Flora Sue (Sanders) Morris. He had lived in Miami since 1980, moving from Little Rock. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps serving five years during Korea. He was a machinist, supervisor and machine designer for Eagle-Picher Industries in Miami, OK for 25 years. He also worked for NASA in Florida. Ralph was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Miami where he was very active in church functions.
Ralph was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Lee Morris in 2016, a daughter, Felissa Gaye Morris in 1967, his parents, 4 brothers, William, Edward, Ronald and Richard Morris and 5 sisters, Sherry Baldwin, Alta Payne, Anita Croswell, Margaret Hanna and Toni Hill.
Ralph married Beverly Jo Buckmaster on April 6, 1966. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include 1 son, Wayne Ralph Morris and wife Lisa of Miami, OK, 2 daughters, Margaret Alicia Morris-Starks and husband William of Joplin MO and Cynthia Gail Payne and husband William of Little Rock, AR, daughter-in-law, Lily Morris of Tulsa, OK, 1 sister, Martha Albritton of Florida, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Southern Hills Baptist Church in Miami, OK with Rev. Herb Young officiating. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
