Tom Epling

Mr. Thomas Michael Epling, 63, of Washburn, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Tom entered this life on February 24, 1955, in Orwell, Ohio, born to the union of the late Cecil and Helen (Bowser) Epling. He graduated from East Newton High School in 1974 and furthered his education by attending Missouri Southern State College in Joplin. 

 On August 4, 1974, he was united in marriage to Laura Amey and to this union a son and two daughters were born. Tom worked hard throughout his life to be a wonderful provider for his family. He was a self-employed sub-contractor and a talented mechanic. He worked for Ron Blackwell Ford in Bentonville, Arkansas for over twenty-five years. Most recently he assisted Laura in the operation of her business, Nu-2-U Consignment and Resale located in Cassville, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry projects, drawing, painting and playing his guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Helen Epling and two daughters, Rebecca and Amber Epling.

Tom is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Laura Epling of the home; a son, Joseph Epling of Billings, Missouri; a grandson, Michael Epling; his mother, Juanita Epling of Owasso, Oklahoma; six brothers, Paul Epling, Jim Epling, Raymond Lambert and Mark Epling all of Washburn, Missouri, Ethan Epling of Battlefield, Missouri and John Lambert of Owasso, Oklahoma; four sisters, Patty Lambert of Washburn, Missouri, Sandy Allen of Strang, Oklahoma, Monie Lambert of Battlefield, Missouri and Shirley Brown of Anderson, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Epling are 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
