Michelle Rhine

Michelle Lee “Hitchcock” Rhine, 42, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her home in Joplin. Michelle was born September 2, 1975 in Joplin to Ron and Veda “Hoover” Hitchcock. Michelle lived in the Carthage Area all of her life. She was an outstanding sprinter in high school and held several track records; she was the state champion in the 200 meter. Michelle will be remembered as that fun-time, fleet-footed, curly blonde-headed, sweet gal.

Michelle was engaged to Bobby Spain for the past two years; he survives.

Also surviving are her parents; two sons, Jordan Lewis of Carthage and Andrew Rhine of Carterville; one sister, Charlotte Beal and husband Jeff of Palmer, AK; three brothers, Adrian Hitchcock and wife Melissa of Neosho, Steven Hitchcock and wife Jerri of Carthage, Jaman Hitchcock and wife Alicia of Palmer, AK; seven nephews and two nieces.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at the New Covenant Church, 2623 S. Chapel Rd., Carthage, MO.
