Minerva Chester

Minerva L. Chester, 93, Goodman, entered into rest on August 28, 2018 at Medicalodge in Neosho, following an extended illness.
 
Minerva was born October 11, 1924 in the community of Splitlog, McDonald County, Missouri. She was a lifelong McDonald County resident and had worked at Buddy L, Sunbeam and Neosho Products. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her husband on the pipeline, going to Hot Springs to the horseraces and going to Branson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goodman.
Minerva and John Henry Chester were married on May 24, 1941 and he preceded her in death in 2005. 
 
She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie Gorham of Joplin; three grandchildren, Adana Macy, Lorri Cole and Dusty Gorham; ten great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Clyde Eads and wife, Ruth Ann of Grove, OK; Glenn Eads of Goodman; two sisters, Hattie Mae Bonebrake and husband, Tom of Webb City and Beatrice ‘Bea’ Barnes of Goodman.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Isla Faye Landon and son in law, Chub Gorham.

The family will receive friends at a time of visitation at Clark Funeral Home on Saturday, September 1 from 9 am until service time, at which time the casket will be closed.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Interment will follow in the Banner Cemetery.
