Raymond Paul “Bob” Jones, 83 of Carthage, went home to his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 25, 2019. Bob was born to the union of Mark and Florence “Coady” Jones on July 18, 1936. Bob served his country in the United States Army and was a long-time Baptist pastor in the Joplin Area.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Junior Lee Jones and Kenneth “George” Jones; one grandson, Jared White; and one son-in-law, Brad White.
Bob is survived by two sons, Bryan Jones (Vashti) of Wichita, KS and Bruce Jones (Julie) of Webb City; two daughters, Vicki White (Ira) of Carl Junction and Kristi White of Joplin; five sisters, Mary Hood, Edith Baker, Freda Beam, Jane Leal and Rose Selves; two brothers, Richard Jones and Arthur Ewing; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2019 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Curtis Cemetery west of Carthage.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gideon’s International.
