Louie House

Louie D. House, age 75, passed away on October 25, 2019 at his home in Carthage, MO. He is survived by his wife, Leslie House. They shared 29 years of marriage together.

Louie was born in Pearcy, Arkansas to Virgil F. House and Ora Jewell (Sisco) House. He moved to Webb City as a young boy and graduated from Webb City High School in 1961. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1964 as an aircraft repairman. He retired from Schreiber Foods after 29 years in 2006. He was a friend of Bill and Dr. Bob’s for 34 years. 

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his way of “telling it like it is” and his loud, boisterous laugh. His favorite saying was “I am a happy man.” 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Weston, his brothers Kenneth, Charley, John and Darrell House. 








Louie is survived by his wife, Leslie House, children, Rebecca Primeau, Kansas City, MO., David Shawn House (Shirley), Catina Kendrick (Bobby) and Tyea Lee (Tim), Nicole Carter (Joshua), all of Carthage, Leigh Jewell (Stephanie) of Carl Junction, Eugene Boone, Everett, WA., his brother Lonnie House (Lilly) of Wenatchee, WA., fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 

Services for Christian burial celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home 400 W. Daugherty Street, Webb City, MO. 

The family will receive guests at the funeral home before the service from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Wild Rose Cemetery in Webb City immediately following the service.
