James Kelso

James Leroy Kelso, Granby, MO entered into rest October 18, 2019 at the age of 70 years, eleven months, and eight days. James was born November 10, 1948 in Moline, IL to Ardist Floyd and Elizabeth Jane (Greenwalt) Kelso.

He was a veteran of the US Navy, serving during the Vietnam era. James worked for 14 years at RKK Construction in Atlanta, GA as a foreman, then as a clerk for Circle L Auction Services in Neosho for eight years. 

He is survived by one sister, Darlene Lievens and husband, Jim of Neosho; two beloved dogs, Harley and Sportster; his nieces and nephews, Brenda Boyd, Robin Fenton, Penny Draper, Tracy Fry, Betsy Shorter, Bret Lievens, and Bart Lievens; and his dear friends, David Braley, Clark Parker, C.J. Parker, Samantha Ochieng, Tim Blanchard, Joe Boroner, Doug Reeves, and Al Brown. 








James was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Jackie Draper; and one nephew, Bruce Lievens.

A memorial visitation will be held at James’ residence, 170 E. Gaddis St, Granby, MO on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 until 4:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at Hampton Cemetery, East Moline, IL at a later date.
