Our sweet Gloria Ann McNeece, 71, of Sarcoxie, Missouri left her earthly body on Friday, October 25, 2019.
Gloria was born on January 1, 1948 in Carthage, Missouri, to the union of the late Louis and Ona (Roller) Frey. She was a 1966 graduate of Carthage High School. On January 22, 1971 she was united in marriage to Bill McNeece at Bykota Baptist Church in Carthage. To this union one son, Matthew, was born. She and Bill owned and operated Sarcoxie Auto Parts for twenty eight years before purchasing Sarcoxie Feed and Farm Supply where she enjoyed visiting with customers and going toe-to-toe with the men who lovingly gave her a hard time. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with Matthew, evening car rides with Bill, loving her kitties and spending time with family and friends. Gloria will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth Frey, Dutch Frey and Ray Frey; sisters, Charliene Aldridge, Velma Russell and Lily Mae Frey.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Bill McNeece; son, Matthew McNeece, of Springfield; nieces and nephews, Sue Annesser (Larry) of Diamond, MO, Joe Aldridge (Toni) of Springfield, MO, Emily McLaughlin (Brian) of Pace, Florida, Kate McNeece, of Cleveland, Ohio and Erin O’Brien of Washington, DC; great niece, Rilen McLaughlin of Pace, Florida; brother-in-law, Jim McNeece (Pat) of Crownsville, Maryland; sister-in-law, Mary Lea Cryer of Carthage, MO; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. McNeece are 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Pogue officiating. Visitation will follow the service from 6-8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Sarcoxie Senior Center in care of the funeral home. On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.housh-goodwinfuneralhome.com.
