Doralee Gilion

Doralee Gilion, 76 of Anderson, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019 after a long illness at the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson with her loving family by her side.

Doralee was born on March 20, 1943 in Anderson, MO to the late Leland Leslie and Josephine (Wallain) Harp. Doralee lived in the Anderson area her entire life and graduated from Anderson High School.

 On March 16, 1962 she was united in marriage to Billy Gilion in Anderson and to this union one child was born. Doralee worked as the executive director of the McDonald County Nursing Home for 30 years and was a member of the Full Gospel Church in Anderson where she volunteered as the Sunday School Director for many years. Doralee enjoyed shopping, traveling and watching her granddaughter play softball.








Doralee is survived by her husband of 56 years; Billy Gilion of the home, a son; Jamey Gilion and wife Millie of Neosho and a granddaughter; Ashley Gilion, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Doralee Gilion will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri with Pastor Michael Buckley officiating. Those serving as pallbearers are; Jerry Don Cooper, Roger Newell, Rick Holly, Brent Gilion, Dallas Gilion and Jeremy Gilion. Honorary pallbearers are; Robert Harp, Jason Harp, Jared Darity and Kyle Darity. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, MO. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the McDonald County Living Center in Anderson in memory of Doralee. Arrangements are under personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, MO.
