Marguerite Ellen “Lovell” Lyon, 92, passed away October 10, 2019 at St. Luke’s nursing center Carthage Missouri. She was born January 21, 1927 in Ft. Scott, Kansas to Clarence and Lora Mae “Clark” Lovell.
She was the manager of the Carthage DMV for 8 years and a member of the United Methodist Church. Marguerite was a member of the Carthage music club and had a love of music. She loved her grandchildren.
Marguerite was united in marriage to Harlan Eugene Lyon in Ft. Scott Kansas he preceded her in death May 29, 2001.
Marguerite is survived by one daughter Ruth Elaine Lenz and husband Bill of Kansas City, MO, one son Joseph Lyon and wife Mariann Morgan of Carthage, six grandchildren Laura, Sarah, Christian, Lucy, Connor and Hadley, four great grandchildren.
Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Mary Lyon, and one sister Lorene Vance.
Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist of Carthage Saturday October 26th 2019 at 1 p.m. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home
