Marthalee Sapp

Marthalee Sapp was born July 10, 1942 in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of Roy and Nina June (Newberry) Martin. She entered into rest on October 18, 2019 in Purcell at the age of 77. 

Marthalee helped found and served as a deacon of Bykota Church and was currently attending New Beginnings at Neck City. She was a loving mother to her four children but ministered to countless others as mother and grandmother. She treasured time with her family and especially her grandkids. 

James Sapp and Marthalee Martin were married on August 29, 1958 in Independence, MO and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2001. 








She is survived by three daughters, Karen Madsen, Neosho, Bobbi Peak and husband Kelly, Monett, Susie Judd and husband, Tim, Nevada and Jim Sapp, Jr. and wife Tammy, Granby, MO; two sisters, Debbie Williams and husband, Chuck, Joplin and A J Warner and husband, David, Independence; one brother David Martin, Belton, MO; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by husband and parents. 

Funeral Services will be Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at the Bykota Church, Mike Morgan and Anthony Sargent will officiate. Interment will follow in the Park Cemetery, Carthage, MO. The family will receive friends at a time of visitation, Monday evening from 6 to 7 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

  1. A wonderful beautiful sister in Christ. A mother at heart to all she saw, she truly loved deep with the love of her Savior. She will be missed by so many people she had touched and influenced. A great faithful prayer warrior. Marthalee you will be missed my sister.
