Clarence Norman Bramlett, Private First Class Army of the United States, was born July 19, 1925 in Kansas. He entered into rest on October 17, 2019, in Joplin, at the age of 94 years old.
He was a United States Army Veteran having served in World War II from September 21, 1943 until he was honorable discharged in January 21, 1946. He served in the 26th Tank Battalion, 16th Armored Division, 3rd Army European Theatre. Clarence was stationed in France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, and Czechoslovakia.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Bramlett, whom he married June 21, 1947; his parents Clarence Augusta Bramlett and Goldie May; and one sister, Thelma June Clark.
Clarence and Lorene farmed near Asbury, Mo. They moved to Webb City in 1966, where he was a truck driver at Four State Supply Company where he retired from.
Clarence is survived by one son, Larry Bramlett and his wife, Margaret, of Neosho. Also surviving are four daughters, including Kathy Parvi of Joplin, Susan McGuirk and her husband, Tim, of Carterville, Kamala Bramlett of Baxter Springs, Kansas, and Shana Morris – Ashley and her husband Ed, of Joplin. Also included in her family are eight grandchildren Dana, Danny, Scott, Corey, Paige, Zoe, Karodyn, and Trenton. Norman was also honored with 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. He is also preceded in death, special friend, Sylvia French. Surviving is her daughter, Linda and Rick Staebler, of Joplin, who were special caregivers to Clarence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City with Pastor Matt Derfelt officiating. The family will be present for visitation on Monday from 9:30 AM until service time. Burial will follow services in Carterville Cemetery with full military honors.
The family would prefer memorial contributions to the Carterville Cemetery Association instead of flowers.
