Richard Dalton Gann, 72, Nevada, MO passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Richard was born May 28, 1947 in Noel, MO to Caddo and Mildred (Starnes) Gann.
Richard grew up in McDonald County and attended school in Noel, MO. He enjoyed fishing on the riverbank with his brothers, teasing his many nieces and nephews who knew him as Uncle Richie, and helping his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Richard worked for Hudson Food in Noel, MO for many years as an electrician. He moved to Nevada and worked at Peerless Products, O’Sullivan Industries for over 10 years until they closed, at which time he began working for Nevada R-5 School District. He worked there for 11 years until his retirement in August of 2018.
He is survived by his siblings, Bob Gann, Neosho, MO, Jessie Rainey, Nevada, MO, Nancy Howerton (Johnny), Anderson, MO, Iris Phelps (Bill), Wyandotte, OK, Harry Gann, Noel, MO; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Clarence, Benjamin, and Paul Gann; and one sister, Patty Hendrix.
A private family committal will be held in Noel, MO at a later time. Arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO.
Memorials are suggested in his memory to the Vernon County Cancer Relief c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
