Mattie Lynn Baird, age 63, Joplin, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Mercy of Joplin.
Mattie was born June 21, 1956 in Port Arthur, Texas, daughter of the late Robert Odell Bearden and Ruby Phillpott Bearden. She grew up in Texas, and graduated from Hampshire Fannett High School in 1974. She moved to the Joplin area in 1995, and worked for Mid-Con Cable.
In addition to her parents, Mattie was preceded in death by a brother, Arvin Bearden.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Billy K. Baird; sisters, Pam Bearden of Houston, Texas, Susie Bean of Port Arthur; brothers, Johnny Bearden, David Bearden, Gary Bearden, Steven Bearden, and Robert Bearden all of Port Arthur; 54 nieces and nephews; several other family, and her special furry friends, Lucy, Tweety, and Emma.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
