Mozelle Sandlin was born September 23, 1931 in Southwest City, Missouri, one of four daughters to Dewey Thomas 'Dood' and Nora Martha (Wilson) Sharp. She entered into rest on October 8, 2019 in Granby, Missouri at the age of 88 years and 15 days, following a short illness.
Mozelle lived in the Neosho area since the age of ten and graduated from Neosho High School class of 1949. She was a special education teacher for many years, having taught at East Newton for many years and retired in 1989. She was a member of MSTA, enjoyed doing genealogy, but her passion was teaching. She was a member of the Neosho Church of the Nazarene.
Mozell married Theodore 'Ted' Sandlin and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2009.
She is survived by four children, Sandy Mills and husband, John of Neosho; John Sandlin and wife, Marinda of Neosho; Tammy Berry and husband, Rick of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Tim Sandlin and wife, Maria of Navasota, Texas; three sisters, Lou Brown of Seneca, Connie Ferguson of Exeter and Jeanne Greer of Florida; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
