Loren Garren

Mr. Loren Leon Garren, 72, of Goodman, Missouri, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Freeman Hospital in Neosho, Missouri, with his loving family by his side.

Loren entered this life on January 19, 1947, in Fairland, Oklahoma, to Lucille (Cole) Garren. Loren was an auctioneer for over fifty years, owning Loren Garren Auctioneer Service. He enjoyed buying fur, hunting and helping others in need. He was a forty-eight year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Garren; stepfather, Andy Anderson; sisters, Geneva Tichenor and Luann Jones; brother, Ellick Garren; and a brother in-law, Larry Brady.








Loren is survived by thee sons, Ronald Garren of Lovelock, Nevada, Randy Garren (Darla) of Gainesville, Texas and Artie Garren (Erin) of Neosho, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Nikki Rich (Mark), Curtis Garren (Kris), Mandy Kays (Derek), Levi Duncan, Sierra Garren, Daniel Garren and Grace Garren; nine great grandchildren; two siblings, Cloetta Brady and Junior Garren; two brother in-laws, Larry Jones and Gene Tichenor; his girlfriend, Linda Carter of the home; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Loren will be held graveside on Wednesday morning, October 16, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Union Cemetery near Longview, Missouri with Donnie Spears officiating.

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Doug Garren, Curtis Garren, A.J. Jones, Jacob Mosley, Tyler Sprinkle, Gavin Rainwater, Brandon Tichenor, Jerry Dale Slaughter and Daniel Garren. Honorary pallbearers are Paul Sprinkle, Larry Jones, Gene Tichenor, Ronnie “Teg” McDonald and Virgil Lawson. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers memorials are being directed to the Goodman Recreation Department c/o the funeral home.
