Zelda M. Kallenberger, age 88, peacefully passed away on October 7, 2019 at the Galena Nursing Center.
Zelda was born on April 26, 1931 in Dodge City, KS, the daughter of the late J.E. and Delma Hugenot. She graduated from Moline, KS High School in 1949 and received her teaching degree from Coffeyville (KS) Community College in 1951.
Zelda was an avid reader, loved her plants, enjoyed sewing, and was the “Avon Lady” for over 50 years. She was a bookkeeper for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her three children; Mike Kallenberger and wife Kim, Albuquerque, NM; Kathy Morrow and husband Jim, Albuquerque NM, and Dan Kallenberger, Joplin, MO.
Her husband, Jim, preceded her in death in 1972.
Zelda has two surviving brothers; Vernon Hugenot and wife Pat, Sedan, KS; and Verle Hugenot and wife Sue, Houston, MO. She had many grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on October 25, 2019 at 11 AM, at Osborne Memorial Cemetery at 33rd Street & McClelland Blvd. Memorial donations can be made to Ozark Public Television and may be entrusted to the mortuary.
