Wallace “Wally” Franklin Fry, 78, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019. Mr. Fry, son of Philip and Edith (Maples) Fry, was born on Oct. 14, 1940, in Green Forest, Arkansas. A graduate of Salinas High School in California, he served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964. On Oct. 11, 1984, he was united in marriage to Verna Dalton. Wallace worked at the Southwest R-V School District in Washburn and later retired from FASCO Industries in Cassville. He loved to read and cheer on the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
Survivors include his wife, Verna, of Washburn; his son, Benjamin Fry and his fiancĂ©, Kyle Heppel, of Edmond, Oklahoma; his daughter, Dr. Willa Fry and her husband, Henry Hardaway, of Branson, Missouri; one brother, Jerry D. Fry of Noel, Missouri; one sister, Betty Ledford of Washburn; two brothers-in-law, including Danny Dalton and his wife, Glenda, and David Dalton and his wife, Sarah, all of Washburn; and was “Uncle Wally” to several nieces and nephews.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Harold David Fry, Stanley Fry, Allen Fry, Bruce Fry, Dennis Fry and Donald Fry; two sisters, Phyllis Leach and Pansy McElroy; and mother-in-law and father-in-law Lucy and Vern Dalton.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
