(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Marjorie Belle Towner Trimble entered her eternal home in the wee hours of 10 November 2020. She was born 9 April 1929 in Philo, Illinois, to Paul Benjamin Towner and Lillie Irene Dingman Towner. She survived four siblings: sister Leona Irene Towner Bowersox, brother George Leonard Towner, and half-brothers Maxwell Eugene Wethington and Stanley Towner.
Marjorie married Richard Hobart Trimble on 2 July 1949 in Bentonville, Arkansas. For 71 years, they were devoted to each other. He survives.
Dick and Marj relocated several times during the years due to job requirements, and Marj was most adept at packing up her children and household in the blink of an eye to move across country. They owned a construction company, Trimble Construction Co., Inc., for several years as well.
Marj enjoyed travel and was always up for a trip. She felt that travel was hugely educational and just plain fun. She traveled widely, in fact, all over the United States, and enjoyed journeys to Hawaii, Europe, and England, as well.
Dick and Marj reared four children: Richard Michael Trimble (Nancy), Kathy Anne Steffens (Keith), Robert Scott Trimble (Diane), and Lori Jean East (Wayne), all of whom survive. She was also grandmother to nine (Aimee, Jason, Jill, Stacey, Brett, Grant, Paige, Ryan, and Matthew), great-grandmother to 28, and great-great grandmother to five. She enjoyed all of her grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments.
Marj was well-loved, hard-working, and devoted. She was our champion, always.
Godspeed, Mom. We'll miss you terribly.
