(From Parker Mortuary)Anderson “Bill” Gritts, 80, of Seneca, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021 at National Healthcare in Joplin.
Bill was born June 17, 1941 in Vian, OK to Andy Leaf and Edna Gritts. He was raised by his aunt and uncle Billie and Clifford. Bill was a part of one of the Joplin High School Basketball State Champions.
After High School, Bill enlisted in the United States Marines. Bill had three children, Susan Beville, Amanda Ruark, and Amy Bates.
Once he got out of the military, he worked at Eagle Picher. He loved to watch and play sports. His favorite thing to do though, was watch his sweet grandchildren play sports. Often you would find Bill speaking his mind on things he was passionate about.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his three children, Susan Beville of Seneca, Amanda Ruark of Seneca, and Amy Bates of Goodman; grandchildren, Chelsea Beville, Tyler Ruark, Tanner Ruark, Treigh Ruark, Nathan Standlee, Courtnee Standlee, and Dyllon Bates; along with several great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
