(From Clark Funeral Home)Billy Gene Largen was born September 20, 1929 in Granby, Missouri, the youngest of seven children to Earl and Ella Largen. He entered into rest on July 8, 2021 in Grove, Oklahoma at the age of 91.
Billy served his country in the U.S. Navy. He attended and graduated from Finley College of Engineering and worked as a civil engineer for Black and Veatch Consulting Engineers. He served as past Commander of Grove American Legion.
Family was most important to him, including his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Billy and Dixie June (Freeman) were married on September 19, 1951 in Bentonville, Arkansas and she preceded him in death on March 25, 2011. Billy is survived by his wife, Donna Brown; three sons, Jay (Karyn) Largen, Randell Largen and Billy, Sr. (Rhonda) Largen; grandchildren, Kyle Largen, Josiah Largen, Bronwyn Largen and Sonya Largen and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Dixie and parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd and Dwight and four sisters, Vera, Helen, Wilma and Clara.
