(From Parker Mortuary)Dana Jo DeBurger, age 64, of Joplin passed away on Sunday June 27th, 2021 at Freeman West Hospital after several days in the ICU.
Dana was born Dana Jo Stinson on November 16th, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Max and Betty Stinson. She grew up in Baxter Springs, KS and graduated from Baxter Springs High School in 1974.
Dana loved being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with her best friend of 56 years, Janis who she considered her sister. She loved going to the creek to lay out and listen to music as well as collecting rocks for her garden. She had a green thumb, loved to cook, and was passionate about music. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son Brice DeBurger of Kansas City Missouri, her daughter Carly DeBurger of Joplin Missouri, her sister Janis Jackson, Miami Oklahoma, her sister and brother in law Genile and Russell Dennison, Springfield Missouri, her nephew Thomas Clifford Stinson, Joplin Missouri, as well as her longtime partner Kipp Murray, Joplin Missouri.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 3rd, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel. Reverend Alan McCamey will be officiating the service. The family will visit with friends following the service at Parker Mortuary.
