Thomas L. Snider was born June 12, 1954 in Springfield, Missouri, one of four children to Joe W. and Evelyn L. (Lourance) Snider. He entered into rest on July 8, 2021 in Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 67.
Tom graduated from Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri and moved to the Granby area in 1985 from Carl Junction. He was a journeyman machinist and began his career working at Leggett and Platt and later worked for Flex-O-Lators and Talbot Industries where he worked for twenty four years and then returned to Leggett and Platt and completed his forty nine year career.
Tom loved hunting with his grandsons, gardening, splitting wood and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Bible Holiness Assembly of God in Neosho.
Tom and Rebecca ‘Becky” Baldwin were united in marriage on August 4, 1973 in Republic, Missouri and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Heather (Ray) Kirkpatrick of Neosho; Dianne (Nathan) Gilpin of London, Kentucky and one son, Anthony (Tony) Snider of Joplin; one sister, Nancy Snider of Springfield, Missouri; eleven grandchildren three great grandchildren with one on the way. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James A. Snider and sister, Paula Hunt.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 1 pm at the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church, Reverend Daniel Taylor and Reverend Bobby Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gibson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church. Contributions in memory of Tom may be made to Ozark Bible Institute Scholarship Fund, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
