Bob and Beverlee Reimers

Bob Reimers

Robert "Bob" William Reimers, 93, passed away at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, MO on Tuesday July 11, 2023. 

Bob was born on December 28, 1929 in Chicago Heights, IL to William and Emma Reimers. He graduated from Peotone High School in 1947 and Gallagher Business School in 1949. He worked at International Harvester in Kankakee, IL from 1949 to 1955, except 1951 to 1953 when he served in the U.S. Army. 








He met and married his wife Beverlee Mae Dion in 1955 while working in the office at International Harvester. He moved to Chicago to work for an auto dealership in 1955 and then to California from 1963 to 1970 where he worked as the Controller until he acquired his own Chrysler agency. 

He purchased a Datsun-Jeep franchise in 1976 in Safford, AZ and remained there until he sold the dealership, retired and moved to Texas in 1985. In 1990 he and Beverlee moved to Lamar, MO. He was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church. 

Bob is survived by his daughter Gay Reimers of Salem, OR. 

His wife preceded him in death on July 9, 2023 just two days before him. No services are planned at this time.

Beverlee Reimers

Beverlee Mae Reimers, 86, passed away at Moore-Few Care Center on Sunday July 9, 2023. 

Beverlee was born on July 13, 1936 in Kankakee, IL to Phillip and Mae (St Germain) Dion. She graduated from high school in 1955 and then worked as a secretary at International Harvester in Kankakee where she met and married her husband, Bob in 1955. 








Beverlee and Bob moved to California in 1963 where she worked in their auto dealership in California and Arizona as the office manager and insurance agent. They moved to Fredericksburg, TX in 1985 and then to Lamar, MO in 1990 where they sold collectibles and books. 

Beverlee was an avid reader and collector. She was a member of the Lamar United Methodist Church.

She was survived by her daughter Gay Reimers of Salem, OR and her husband Bob of Lamar, MO, however, Bob passed away two days after she did. No services are planned at this time.
