Brenda Forste

Brenda Raemel Forste, 79, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, surrounded by family. 

Brenda was born October 16, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina to William Edward Lisle and Mattie Lee (Hunt) Lisle. Brenda was a longtime resident of Carthage. She was a homemaker and loved to take care of her family. 

Brenda loved to read her Bible and Mormon books. She really enjoyed collecting and using different cookbooks. Brenda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Carthage.

Brenda was united in marriage to Max Harold Forste, Sr. February 11, 1962; he preceded her in death.

Brenda is survived by her son, Max Harold Forste, Jr. and wife, Shelley, of Carthage; a daughter, Cindy Diane Cline and husband, Greg, of Reeds, Missouri; four grandchildren, Myndy Schmidt and husband, Sam, Christina O’Neil and husband, Landon, Kala Mason and husband, Zack, and Michael Forste; six great grandchildren, Paige Cline, Mason Kitchens, Adelyn O’Neil, Michael Anderson, Mattie Anderson, and Evan Forste; two great great grandchildren, Marlee Kitchens and Reign Wilder Williams-Cline; and one brother, David Wayne Lisle.

Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Max Forste, Sr.; her parents, William and Mattie Lisle; brother, William Joseph Lisle; and sister, Lydia Iris Norrell.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage, Missouri. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Carthage, Missouri. Entombment will be at Ozark Memorial Park in Joplin, Missouri.
