Brian Mize

Brian Keith Mize, 57, of Pittsburg, died August 6, 2023 at his home in Pittsburg.

He was born November 14, 1965 in Webb City, MO to Ronald and Linda (Thompson) Barlett.

Brian owned and operated Bryan’s Heat and Air for many years.
On April 13, 2001 he married Lisa Kichler.

He was a musician who loved playing the drums and guitar and spending time with friends. He also enjoyed camping and family BBQ’s. What he adored more than anything else was taking care of his family and spending time with his children.

Brian is survived by his loving wife; Lisa Mize, children Charisma and Marcus Mize of the home, four children; Christopher Mize (Jessica) of Kansas City, Bryan Mize Jr. of Girard, KS, Joshua Mize of Kansas City, Patience Cook (James) of Pittsburg, KS, mother; Linda Thompson, brother; Russell Mize Pittsburg, KS, two sisters; Angela Carpenter (Jeff) Fort Scott, KS, Terra Olivas (Tommy) of Fort Scott, KS, five grandchildren; Bentley, Gracelynn, Axel, Matthew and Easton.

He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Barlett, two uncles; Roy and Daryl Thompson.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS 66762.
