Kathy Penner

Katharina "Kathy" Lucille Penner, age 55, of Lamar, Missouri passed away August 4, 2023, at her home in Lamar, MO.

Kathy was born September 14, 1967 in Carthage, Missouri to Franz Herman Penner and Marion L. McGinness. Kathy graduated from Lamar High School in the class of 1986.

Kathy volunteered most of her time at Good Samaritan Shop in Lamar, MO. She felt very useful and being there was important to her. 

During her life, she attended several different churches. As a youth she had attended bible camp and was baptized while there. She always knew members no matter which church service she was at.

While a lifelong resident of Missouri, she did manage to see some of the world by enjoying cruise vacations with her family. Kathy was able to experience Belize, Mexico, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. She always enjoyed meeting new people along the way and seeing places most of us don't get to.

Survivors include three brothers, Doug (Tina) Penner of Lamar, David (Chi) Penner of Rogers, Arkansas and Dale (Doris) McGinness of Erlensee, Germany; three sisters, Mary Jane Henrichson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Darleen (John) Connely of Barranquilla, Columbia and Martha Myles of Omaha, Nebraska.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00 ~ 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, MO.
