Arvilla Brady

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Arvilla Louise Brady, 83, passed away on January 4, 2024, after a long and valiant battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born to Jerry Jesse Martin and Della (Ball) Martin on May 12, 1940, in Newton County, Missouri. Her mother Della died soon after Arvilla was born, and she was raised by her father and his second wife Eunice. She moved to Neosho at the age of 18 and remained there until her death.

Arvilla was always a hard worker. She was employed by and retired from Community Bank and Trust. After her retirement, she continued to work at businesses including the Flower Box Lanes Bowling Alley and J and A Package Store with her partner Rolland Junior (R.J.) Moore. She was dedicated to R.J. and their businesses.

She enjoyed traveling and going to music shows. She and R.J. made many trips to Branson and Florida. She loved doing crafts and collecting Precious Moments figurines. In addition, she was a very loving grandmother.

Arvilla was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Glenda (Martin) Long, her brothers Claude, Everett and Darrell Martin; R.J. Moore; her stepdaughter Deborah Jean (Moore) Olbrey, and her grandson Ryan Moore.

She is survived by her brother Paul Martin, her beloved niece Linda (Long) Cox, her stepdaughters Peggy Day, Sandy McQueen, and Kathy Moore; her grandchildren Cari Southern, Rocky Olbrey, Stacey Higgins, Andy Olbrey, Matthew Day, Jessica (Olbrey) Brown, and Samantha McQueen; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Medicalodges-Neosho for taking such good care of Arvilla over the last ten years.
