(From Clark Funeral Home)Geraldine L. Mills, age 96, of Norman, Oklahoma, entered into heavenly rest on January 13, 2024.
Geraldine was born on July 7, 1927, in Seneca, Missouri, the last of thirteen siblings, to James Jackson and Hettie Florence (Hightower) Ritter. She was a lovely person who helped so many.
She was a homemaker and active in her children’s lives, volunteering as room mother and carpooling to events. She enjoyed serving in the church and hobbies such as ceramics, sewing, crocheting, needle art, gardening, cake decorating and baking. She was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church.
On November 20, 1946, in Kansas, Geraldine and Roy Mills were united in marriage, and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2010. Life took them from Kansas to Texas to California and finally to Oklahoma.
Geraldine is survived by two children, Roy Mills, Jr. and wife Ingrid of Moore, Oklahoma, and Hope Alwardt and husband David of Norman, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and scores of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by twelve siblings, and Ronnie.
Funeral services will be held on January 26, 2024, at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Roger Mills will officiate. Interment will follow in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 9 am until service time.
