(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Richard Eugene Rawlings, 72 of Fairland, Oklahoma passed from this life on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at his home surrounded by family.
Richard was born May 4, 1951 in Pittsburg, Kansas to the union of Wilmer and Josephine (Fraley) Rawlings. Richard graduated high school in Liberal, Missouri.
He was owner-operator of Trees’ N More and was a landscaper for over 30 years, retiring in 2015.
Richard had several hobbies that he enjoyed from Car Clubs to classic car show, drag racing, deer hunting, gardening, traveling, cooking and BBQing, but most of all spending time with his friends and family.
Richard was united in marriage to Martha (Mitchell) Rawlings on September 23, 2013, in Jamaica, she survives of the home. Additional survivors include, two sons, Jamey Rawlings of Covina, CA, and Clint Rawlings of Miami, OK; daughter, Jessica Mullin of Miami, OK; stepson, Jared Tunnell of Webb City, MO; two stepdaughters, Natalie Zanatta (John) of Baxter Springs, KS, and Lacey Myers of Columbus, GA; three grandchildren, Arlo, Corbin, and Jake; four step grandchildren, Dylan, Cassie, Hunter, Elliott.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Josephine Rawlings.
Richard has been entrusted to Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel for cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.derfeltfuneralhomes.com.
