Byron “Barney” Fuller, 83, of Joplin, Missouri, left this life and entered his eternal rest on May 26, 2018.
He was born on September 24, 1934, to Fred and Audrey (Wingler) Fuller, in Joplin, Mo.
He lived in Mojave, Ca. for several years and moved back to Joplin in 1975, where he opened and operated Barney’s Quick Lube for over 35 years. He enjoyed cars and owned several antique autos over the years.
He married Sharon Kealy Smith in Joplin in 1974 and she survives him.
Barney is also survived by: four sons, Mike Smith and his wife Debbie of Joplin, Scott Smith of Joplin, Timothy Fuller of Joplin and William Fuller of the state of California, four daughters, Shannon Sherdahl and her husband Steve of Wichita, Ks., Cindy Junkins and her husband Tommy of Joplin, Shelly Ross and her husband Doug of Carl Junction and Darcey Snyder and her husband Jay of Joplin. A brother Bob Fuller of Joplin. Five grandchildren, Gabe Patterson, Jessica Lawrence, Aaron and Shannon McCorkendale and Riley Smith, several other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by a daughter, Mickey Salazar, a grandson Nick Ross, a brother Ben Fuller, two sisters Donna Green and Judy East .
In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to Children’s Haven of Southwest Missouri in care of the Mortuary.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Mason-Woodard Chapel with Pastors Larry Griffin officiating.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mortuary.
