Mr. Robert Eugene “Coach Bob” Triplett, Sr., 75, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Friday, May 25, 2018, at his residence.
Bob entered this life on February 3, 1943, in Sarcoxie, Missouri, one of three children born to the union of the late Robert D. and Ora Bell (Lunderman) Triplett. He was raised in Sarcoxie and was a 1962, graduate of Sarcoxie High School. He furthered his education at MSSU in Springfield, Missouri, receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He taught school in Marshfield, Sarcoxie and Seneca, retiring as High School Wrestling and Junior High Football Coach with the Seneca School District, with a combined total of thirty years of dedicated service. Bob was also a farmer and cattle rancher.
He is survived by his two sons, Robert E. Triplett, Jr. of Republic, Missouri and Michael Triplett and wife, Tammy, of Russellville, Kentucky; four grandchildren; a sister, Loraine Henry and husband, Ray, of Reeds, Missouri; a brother, Larry Don Triplett and wife, Judy, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; his life companion, Edna Sparkman of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Services for Coach Bob will be held on Wednesday evening, May 30, 2018, from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Seneca Junior High School with memorial services beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Truman Brady officiating. A visitation and viewing will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri. Coach Bob’s 1985 Seneca High School State Wrestling Champs will honor his life by serving as honorary pallbearers.
