Geneva Maxine Tanner-Cargile, age 88, went to be with her Lord on May 30, 2018. Maxine was born in Webb City, MO on November 9, 1929. She graduated from Granby High School and lived in Granby throughout her lifetime. She worked at the Miller Manufacturing Company in Granby and later as a health care provider until 1978 when she began to have heart problems.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill and Jack Cargile; parents, Charles and Ala Tanner; son, Charles tanner; daughter, Brenda Sanders (and child); son in law, Garry Moore; granddaughter, Angela Bell; great great grandson, Haygen Judd; five sisters, three brothers, multiple in laws and extended family. Maxine is survived by her children, Anita and Butch Judd; Juanita and John Sanders; Billy (Buster) and Patsy Cargile; Janice Moore and Mike Cargile; her Sweethearts, including twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, with another on the way. Maxine enjoyed her family and was a faithful member of the First Church of God in Granby. She was a walking miracle and was always ready and willing to witness to others. All who knew her loved her and she loved everyone. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Maxine will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2 pm at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Granby, Pastor Ashley Edgemon will officiate. Interment will be in the Granby Memorial Cemetery and serving as pallbearers will be Darrin Judd; Keith Judd; Jeff Sanders; Preston Sanders; Billy Cargile; Aaron Moore; Steven Moore and other family members. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 3 pm at the Clark Funeral Home, Granby.
