Garry D. Pendergraft, 68, Neosho, entered into rest on May 12, 2018 at his home, following a year of failing health.
Garry was born July 12, 1949 in Neosho, the son of Lawrence and Ula (Jennings) Pendergraft. He graduated from Neosho High School in 1967. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1969 and served during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged in 1975. He returned to Neosho and worked as plant manager at Talbot Wire and then worked for the Diamond School System as a custodian. He enjoyed horses, working on cars and doing mechanical work.
Garry and Irene Aguilar were married in 1984 at Miami, Oklahoma and she survives. Additional survivors include three sons, Mike Pendergraft of Granby; Jeff Pendergraft of Neosho and Chris Pendergraft of Seneca; two brothers, Tony Pendergraft of Neosho and Charles McIlvaine of Carterville; three sisters, Debbie Leake of Joplin; Vicky Sullenger of Joplin and Rhonda Plate of Webb City and seven grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 10 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Dr. Jerry Seigel will officiate. Interment will follow in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
