Caryn Marie Durbin, age 31, Joplin, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri after a courageous, lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Caryn was born November 14, 1986 in Kansas City, Missouri, and lived in the Riverton, Galena, Joplin areas all her life. She worked in the restaurant industry all her adult life, and was a Manager with Club 1201, working with the catering side of the restaurant. She was also co-owner of Page's Auto Repair and Sales. She was a Christian, and grew up attending Riverton House of Prayer. Through all of her illness, her faith and family were most important to her, and help provide needed support.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, Robert "Rocky" Duncan, and Joan Durbin.
Survivors include her parents, Ron and Debbie Durbin of Joplin; daughter, Bailey Artinger of Joplin; soul mate, Michael Page of Joplin; sister, Latrisha O'Dell and husband Brian of Galena, Kansas; brother, Joshua Durbin of Joplin; grandparents, Shirley Duncan of Drexel, Missouri, Harold and Vera Osburn of Kansas City, Missouri, Joe and Sharon Durbin of Wyandotte, Oklahoma; numerous aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Audi Tash officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the family to help with final expenses, and any additional funds will be giving to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
