Lucille Thomas

Mabel "Lucille" Winningham Thomas at the age of 97 went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018 while surrounded by her children and family. 

She was born February 12, 1921 in Jericho Springs, Missouri, and married Noel Otis Thomas on January 28, 1936. He preceded her in death on September 15, 1980. Lucille, as she was known, was the mother of seven children: Virginia, Junior, Mary, Roy, Otis, Joyce and Jean. She was a homemaker. Her greatest joys were cooking for her family who always enjoyed her wonderful meals. She also loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and hearing everything about them. Some of her grandkids nicknamed her Grandmas Pete. Others called her Grandma Tommie. She loved gardening and grew beautiful flowers every year. 

She is survived by Virginia and Tom Wilson of Newburg, New York; Mary Thomas of the home; Roy and Pat Thomas of Carthage, Missouri; Joyce and John Davidson of Wichita, Kansas; Jean and Rusty Scott of Springfield, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Noel and two children, Junior and Otis. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamar, MO. 

Services will be held Saturday, May 19 at 2:00 pm at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar. Ministers will be Rev. John Davidson and Pastor Robb Hodson. Visitation will take place at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 19 at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.
