Donald 'Don' Lovett, age 58, Joplin, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 at his home after a prolonged illness.
Don was born November 17, 1959 in Hawthorn, California.
He worked at Missouri Southern State University for several years and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Don married Sandra Smith on August 11, 1984 in Santa Ana, California. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his children, Jamie Engh-Sparlin and husband, Adam, Joplin, Bobby Lovett and wife, Krystal, St. Charles, Missouri, Kelly Batie and husband, Shayne, Carthage; father, Bob Lovett, Anaheim, California; mother, Glenda Miklos and husband, Steve, Forest Hill, California; siblings, Danny Lovett and wife, Angela, Anaheim, California, Lori Lovett, Forest Hill, California; mother-in-law, Donna McClelland, Fishers, Indiana; and grandchildren, Anabelle, Mason, Brooks, Opal, Ruby, Landon, Dylan, Jessica, Marika and Sadie.
Don was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brylee; sister-in-law, Victoria Harlin; grandparents, Hal Hodges, Geraldine Hodges; and his grandfather, Donald Faver.
Services are planned for Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow in Carl Junction Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
