Betty J. McCormick, 88, a resident of the Elmhaven Nursing Home, died there at 3:50 a.m., Sunday, May 6, 2018.
He was born February 12, 1930, at St. Louis, to John A. and Anna Marie (Blackston) Anderson.
Her first marriage was on March 23, 1948, in Dallas, Texas to William T. Compton. He was an engineer for the M-K-T Railroad and preceded her in death on October 25, 1976.
She married Billy D. Allen on October 21, 1977 at Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1989.
On October 13, 1990 she and Irvin B. McCormick were married at Columbus. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2007.
In earlier years Betty was employed at the former Broadway Cafeteria and at the Kansas Ordnance Plant. She had attended the First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and attending dances.
She is survived by a son, Charles Compton, of Joplin and two grandsons. A private burial will be held at a later date. The Carson-Wall Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
