Carl Leon Henry, age 78, Carl Junction, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his residence.
He was born September 4, 1939 in rural Avilla, to the late Cecil Henry and Violet Clark Henry.
Following his service in the United States Marine Corps, he then owned and operated his own farm near Avilla.
Leon married Janine Cobb on April 15, 2000 in Eureka Springs. She survives at the home.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, R.V. traveling, taking cruises to the Caribbean most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Additional survivors include a son, Mark Henry, Stockton; one daughter, Brenda Priesendorf and husband Tom, El Dorado Springs; two grandsons, Sam and Lucas Priesendorf; one brother, Ray Henry and wife, Loraine, Reeds; four sisters, Betty Spencer and husband, Dale, Stotts City; Charlotte Jones and Kay Dunn, both of Carthage, Donna Sue Parker, Monett; one step son, David Martin and wife, Sharon, Rogers, AR; one step daughter, Cindy Klein and husband, Rob, Deerfield, IL; four step grandsons; three step great-grand sons; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Funeral services are planned for 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Parker Mortuary. Rev. Bob Howard will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery, Avilla.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
