Archie James "Arkie" Rowden of North Miami, OK passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 at his home. He was 73.
Arkie was born February 1, 1945 in Picher, OK to Harley Edward and Opal (Redden) Rowden. He had lived in Picher, OK and in Arizona before moving to North Miami. He was a truck driver for Frank and Sons Trucking in Big Cabin, OK.
Arkie was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings.
Arkie is survived by his wife Rosalie Rowden of the home, 4 sons, Darin Rowden, Shawn Rowden and Derrick Rowden of Carthage, MO and Travis Rowden of Joplin, MO, 3 daughters, Dana Blizzard of Grove, OK, Carolyn Blizzard of Commerce, OK, Trinity Blizzard and Betty Whitehead of Miami, OK, his grandchildren, William Rogers, Cheyanne Raines Nathan VanHoose, David VanHoose, Dylon Treece, Quentin Cahoon and Donnie Findley and his great-grandchildren, Alice Treece, Trevyn Downing, Weston Raines, Haeley Raines, Kinsley Cahoon and Emery Cahoon.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Greenlawn Cemetery, northwest of Treece, KS with Rev. Brian Gibson officiating. Leonard Raines, Quentin Cahoon, Dylon Treece, William Rogers,, Derrick Rowden, Darin Rowden, Travis Rowden and Shawn Rowden will serve as pallbearers. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
