Norma Patterson

Norma D. Patterson, age 89, of Washburn, Missouri, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home.

She was born August 3, 1929 in Washburn the daughter of Bent and Lona (Day) Dalton. On August 25, 1948 in Cassville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Perry Patterson, Jr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Vickie Howell; two brothers, Vern Dalton and Warren Dalton; a sister, Verbal Pendergraft; one grandson and special friend Bill Long.

Surviving are three daughters, Janie Lee and husband Larry of Noel, Missouri, Kay Pippin (Darrell Kelly) of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Beth Roller and husband Don of Seligman, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Darin Largent, Tonia Yost, Perry Hatfield, Didi Sorensen, Jimmy Lee, Heidi Roller, Cassi Roller and Megan Roller; twenty-one great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and three special Hospice people, Stacey Green-Cline, Joni Moore, and Sandie Hahn.

Norma grew up and graduated from high school at Washburn. She was employed at Frank and Lou Armstrong Grocery Store, Red Hayes Grocery Store, Johnnie Saunders Grocery Store, and Ramey Grocery Store. She also drove a school bus and raised cattle. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Norma enjoyed gardening and landscaping and made her yard a showplace. She also enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family. She was loved and admired for her hard work and dedication to her family by all who knew her.

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Larry Kackley will conduct the services. Burial will be at Roller Cemetery west of Washburn.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.

Contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus in memory of Norma.
